After receiving the NoCO2 certification in November 2008, Power Documents & Freight (PD&F) can proudly declare that it is the first transport company in Sydney to go carbon neutral.

A family owned transport company that has been servicing the needs of clients in and around Sydney City and the airport for the last 30 years, PD&F made the move to go carbon neutral in an effort to offer some leadership for a local transport industry that has traditionally been slow to take up sustainable initiatives.

By working with employees to address driver behaviour that can reduce carbon output of their vehicles, undertaking energy efficient practices in the office, and making a commitment to invest in cleaner energy vehicles as they become available, PD&F is aiming to significantly reduce its carbon output across its operations.

For what can not be reduced at this point, PD&F is investing in (carbon offsets)......, to assist in building a green future for the transport industry

PD&F also recognises the value in offering a carbon free service to other businesses that have also turned carbon neutral and thus need to consider the green credentials of their suppliers. As such, PD&F is looking to partner with organisations interested in harnessing the value of a green boutique delivery service.

Now with the NoCO2 accreditation, PD&F is aiming to be a leader in progressing sustainable transport services across Australia.

The transport industry faces many challenges in playing a role in the low carbon economy, but PD&F is ensuring its place in what it believes could be an opportunistic and exciting time to innovate for the future through green technology transport options.

PD&F undertook a carbon audit with the Carbon Reduction Institute and is proud to say the business is now NoCO2 certified.

To neutralise its emissions, PD&F purchases energy efficiency carbon credits from the HELP project in New Zealand. This project drives the installation of energy saving lights throughout New Zealand households. To learn more about these carbon credits please visit our credit assessment page.
